Carmageddon makes me giggle every time and partially because I think it's hilarious how businesses are trying to take advantage of this sure to be epic traffic nightmare. Los Angeles currently reduced to two lanes will be returned to three lanes for the upcoming "Carmageddon" weekend, according to the Los Angeles Department of Public Works.
Barriers along some of the highway will be returned Monday to allow crews to finish their work.
The department is building new sewer capacity to divert storm water to a treatment plant instead of channeling it untreated to the ocean, Skinner said.
