David Uberuaga became superintendent of Grand Canyon National Park

(Denver, CO) - The National Park Service, Intermountain Regional Director John Wessels announced Wednesday that David Uberuaga superintendent of Grand Canyon National Park has been designated to begin its work in mid-July.

Uberuaga is currently the superintendent of Mount Rainier National Park in Washington state, a position he held for the past nine years. During this time he served for over a year as interim superintendent of Yosemite National Park. He spent 37 years in the federal government was with the National Park Service 1984
