"Hi Everyone, Hope you're enjoying the weekend. Cash and I are so excited to announce the birth of our daughter, Haven Garner Warren," Alba wrote.
"She was born on Saturday, weighed 3.2kg, and was 48cm long. Healthy and happy! Big Sister Honor couldn't be more excited about the new addition to our family.
"Thank you for all of your support during my pregnancy. It means the world to me."
Alba, who also announced her pregnancy via Facebook, told Us Weekly last month that Honor was "as excited as a kid can be [about becoming a big sister], even though she doesn't really know what it means just yet."
The Golden Globe-nominated actress will next be seen in "Spy Kids 4" which opens in the US on Friday.

Tina Fey wanted to wait to discover the baby's gender
Tina Fey, already the mother of 5-year-old Alice, has introduced a new addition to the family. 30 Rock star welcomed a healthy baby girl, Penelope, Athena, on Wednesday with her husband, the composer of Richmond, Jeffrey, 50, her representative told People.
The multiple Emmy-winner joked with Ellen DeGeneres during her pregnancy that she and her husband wanted to wait to discover the baby's gender. "I'm just going to see what it chooses to wear to prom," Fey said at the time. The comedian also called her second pregnancy "easy."
He talked about dying to have a second child - but explained that she and her husband decided it was time to expand your family. Said Fey at the time: "My husband and I really decided that we felt rather than risk having 30 Rock end in several years and feeling like part of our family is missing that we were going to prioritize our family."
